History of Regional Rehab

After years of experience as a Physical Therapist working in a variety of health care settings – hospitals, home health agencies, private practices and small corporations – Charles Donley, PT, opened Regional Rehab, a private practice, outpatient physical therapy clinic in Spring Hill, Florida.

For Charles and his wife, Christine, the goal was to treat both their staff and their patients the way they themselves would personally want to be treated; with honor, respect and genuine caring.

Regional Rehab was born in 1999 out of a desire to provide excellent, one-on-one, personalized care for hurting people; to create an atmosphere of healing through the hands and hearts of a loving, knowledgeable team – from the front office staff to the licensed clinicians.

As the practice grew, the clinic relocated in 2009 to their current, roomier location on Mariner Boulevard which features private treatment rooms along with an efficient gym area.   At that time, in addition to the more traditional forms of therapy such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, traction, therapeutic exercise and iontophoresis, Regional Rehab acquired what would become their signature therapies:  both the Class IV Deep Tissue Laser and the Hivamat 200 Deep Oscillation Therapy. These state of the art, FDA approved treatment tools became key components in their arsenal of surgery-free pain relief and rehabilitation techniques which produce effective, long lasting results. Since then, Regional Rehab has been serving this community with an unwavering objective:  to do all things with excellence while uplifting those with physical needs, offering a special combination of professional and interpersonal skills designed to bring optimal health and healing to the whole person – spirit, mind and body.

CHARLES C. DONLEY

P.T. & Owner

Charles C. Donley, P.T., has been a Licensed Physical Therapist since 1984, graduating Cum Laude with a B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh; he has been engaged in his own private practice since 1999. Charles served for 10 years as the staff P.T. with Dance Revolution Ministry’s national tour, is a Director with Touching Nations Today, Inc., a non-profit humanitarian organization, and has become a certified speaker/coach/teacher with the John Maxwell Team. He offers the best care to the community through the acquisition of state of the art, cutting edge technology, and developing his staff to reach their greatest potential as clinicians and as individuals. The result is a progressive, exciting and friendly environment designed for optimum health and healing

With many years of clinical experience in an array of settings, Charles offers a rich base of knowledge and understanding about human health. In 2018, he endured an extensive health crisis which included suffering four strokes, one of which left him with right side paralysis. Exceptional acute care at Shands Hospital was followed by rehab at the stroke unit at Tampa General Hospital, and the final piece to the puzzle was the extraordinary physical therapy he received from his own team here at Regional Rehab.  The result?  You will find him evaluating new patients during the week, as always, and playing softball or golf in his free time. His personal health journey makes him a great encourager to those walking through the doors here who are facing difficult physical challenges.  His faith and his ‘can do ‘attitude serve as an example and an inspiration to those around him.
