Joint Pain
Physical discomfort where two or more bones meet to form a joint, ranging from mild to disabling. Joint pain can have causes that aren’t due to underlying disease. Examples include overuse such as heavy physical activity, lack of use, sprains, or strains.
Potential treatments include: Modalities used to reduce pain, inflammation and to promote restoration/replacement of damaged cells: Class IV laser, vibration electric stimulation (Hivamat 200), iontophoresis, ice and manual therapy. Exercises to improve range of motion, to build muscle strength in the surrounding joints, and to improve balance with low impact stretches.
